A Career Dedicated to Supporting EEOICP Claimants
In 2001, Marilyn Leslie began her career at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the Medical Department, where she was responsible for preparing employee medical records for Energy Employee Occupational Illness Compensation Program (EEOICP) requests from the Department of Labor (DOL).
By 2004, she transitioned to the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) California Resource Center, where she spent 13 years assisting claimants and their families. Her role involved:
- Informing potential claimants about the filing requirements and available benefits under EEOICP.
Helping claimants complete necessary forms in person or over the phone. - Providing guidance on the claims process and explaining Department of Labor development letters.
- Assisting claimants in obtaining supporting medical and employment records for their cases.
- Medical Bill Pay Specialist – Assisted claimants and providers with billing issues, pharmacy claims, and out-of-pocket reimbursements. She also worked directly with pharmacies nationwide to resolve denied medication claims.
- Medical Provider Enrollment Representative – Educated and enrolled countless medical providers into the EEOICPA program, allowing claimants to receive care without copays or deductibles.
In 2017, Marilyn Leslie retired from the DEEOIC California Resource Center and joined Hallway Healthcare, Inc. as a Resource Liaison. In this role, she:
- Educates and guides claimants through the filing process, medical bill documentation, and DOL navigation.
- Assists approved claimants in accessing essential medical services like nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and medical equipment—all at no cost to them.
Her dedication to serving EEOICP claimants continues, ensuring that nuclear and federal workers who have sacrificed their health receive the benefits and care they deserve.
As your health needs change, so should your care plan. Your Resource Liaison provides ongoing support, adjusting your healthcare services as needed to ensure you continue receiving the right level of care—without disruption.
